#MTVShugaDS season five has come to an end and after 12 exciting episodes which showcase the lives of a group of high school students and the woes they experience growing up in a fictional township called Zenzele. The show addresses varying topics such as teenage pregnancy, abortions, blessers, sexual assault, stealthing and other subjects which young South Africans face on a daily basis.

We hit the streets of Braamfontein to ask the youth what they thought of the show, what they learnt from it and if it encouraged them to change any of their behaviours. Here’s what they had to say in a two part video, you can comment below with your own learnings. #MTVShugaChat
