Loren Lee Henderson, fashion stylist and  image consultant is the brand manager of Style By Loren. The brand is seeking local designers to give a platform for showcasing their designs, and motivating them. Friday February 14 was the official launch and she  was showcasing all the designs at Rits Hotel in Sea Point.

Moulding and planing that fashion show, Loren came across a lot of negativity – people did not have faith but her bubbly character made things possible. She never studied fashion but she did a short course on events management as she did not have enough money to pursue a longer course. “You must make the most of every situation – study what you want and make every moment  count,” Loren said.

Growing up with five brothers and having a single mother made her a  stronger person. It made me reasonable. Planning this event took her two months but she says it felt like two years. “It was not easy,” she whispered. It made her realise that in life you only have people that want to be with you, you can not force anything.“God made this fashion show possible,” she emphasised.

Ryna Lewis is the man behind the 7785 design. 7785 is not just a t-shirt printing business but it is also a media company. It is described as being  fresh, fire, and funky. Mel Samuels is behind Indhi designs. Her designs are for curvy women. Everything started when she became a mother and everything did not fit well on her.  Her clothes are for women that want to feel chic, stylish and comfy. They are described as ‘effortless’ but ‘classy’. Kelly Lauren Roman is behind Drama Queen Events . She is a wedding planner. Her mission is to make that one day special. She describes her gowns as dramatic, sassy, classic, sexy and simple. Issa Lopez man behind Issa Leo design is a trendy brand that is manufactured here in Cape town. It makes colourful man clothes.  

The fashion show was on point and everything was planned. The dance performance  poetry, stand-up comedy, the  band not forgetting the models and clothes were entertaining . Everyone enjoyed themselves. The fashion show was a success. “Thanks to my friends,” said Loren.
