The Coalition for a Free Palestine (CfP) is calling upon South Africa to take action in protest of Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
CfP is the largest South African Palestine solidarity body, which includes trade unions, youth and student groups, human rights organizations, faith based groups and political parties.
The outbreak on Gaza has left hundreds injured with the death toll steadily on the rise. Israel has also prepared over 70 000 troops for a land invasion.
The CfP and its associates have organised protests to stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and to urge the South African government to impose certain measures against the attacks which includes recalling the South African ambassador from Israel, expelling the Israeli ambassador from Pretoria, and boycotting Israel until it ends its violence against the Palestinian people.
