This past weekend we were excited when a tweet captioned “Up next, South African artist @sjavaatm” was posted on A Colors Show timeline. We couldn’t wait or contain ourselves to see Indlalifa perform on the Popular Berlin-based, Youtube channel.
Musician and producer Sun-El Musician expressed how he was inspired by Sjava’s upcoming performance.
A Colors Show began as a YouTube channel that introduced artists from all over the world with the motto “no genres, all colours”. It provides a platform where artists and bands are represented by color and not genre. Color is used in an aesthetically appealing way where performances and artists are represented in different hues and shades.
This is the best place to go when you are looking for a fresh musical palette of colour. Sjava is the latest artist from South Africa to be featured on the show after rappers ByLwansta and Yugen Blakrok jumped on Colors to give the global viewers a taste of African alternative hip hop and rap.
Sjava has always stayed true to himself through his colorful genre mixes like African Trap, Maskandi, and Afro-pop and his distinctive fashion sense. The ATM rapper gives a show that was a classic Sjava performance from his style rocking Umqele and black ensemble to the lyrics, it was real and authentic, a true reflection of African Trap Music.

The award-winning musician, paying tribute to his mother, performed ‘Umama’, his latest single from the recently released EP, ‘Umqhele’. We were so entertained we wish he could have performed some of his other great tracks, faves like ‘Ekuseni’, ‘Uthando’ or even break into the first-ever full-on COLORS concert.
The response to his stellar Colors shows that Sjava is not only winning the hearts of South Africans but the world at large.
Which other South African artists would you love to see on A Colors Show?
