“We wake up flawless, post up flawless!” Beyonce sure knew what she was doing when she sang that hit song! Empowering young women all over the world with a positive mindset that yells out love yourself! It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you look like just know that you are flawless! This is an empowering message but in all honesty do we wake up really feeling flawless? You know no make -up on, hair looking all messy. Do we look in the mirror and thinks to ourselves damn “I look good” mmm not all the time. I know there are moments when I wake up with a pimple on my face and I’m like “where did that come from?” in all honesty we all have our flaws.

There is nothing wrong with experimenting with your look from time to time. That is the fun thing about make-up it can accentuate your features in an amazing way! You just have to know how to pick the right colours to suit your skin tone. My personal favourite look is the grunge grime look. Here are a few tips on how to get this look.

Smokey eye is essential, the trick to having a sultry smoky eye is to use a neutral eye shadow colour such as grey but if you want to explore other colours you can even go as far as using a dark navy blue eye shadow. A black eyeliner is a must have. If you do not want your normal smokey eye you can go for the cat wing eye look, which will create a beautiful shape around your eye.

For your lips you can either go for the Marylyn Monroe seductive red lipstick look. Rimmel Alarm lipstick or Mac is a good chose. Or you can step out of your comfort zone and use black lipstick which is a huge trend lately. Don’t be afraid to take risks!

To round of your entire look go for a bronzer instead of blush to create that highlighted effect on your cheek bone area. There is so much attention that will be drawn onto your face because of the colours you would have used on your eyes and lips so it is essential to keep your cheekbone area more subtle to balance out the entire look. Great bronzer’s are available at any beauty shop. Apply it the same way you would apply your blush.

This is a great time to explore the inner rock chic in you. So go ahead and rock your look!
