It being 40 years since the ‘76 Soweto Uprisings we ask, are we truly free as young South Africans? With unemployment still high and our higher education in the news for all the wrong reasons, how far have we progressed in terms of education, employment and overall equality and what else needs to be done?

So “Let’s Get Free” with deputy minister in the Presidency, Buti Manamela on 14 April for a cocktail event not to be missed. It’s your chance to tell the deputy minister just how you feel about the freedoms (or lack thereof) of young South Africans and ask him all those questions that’s been bugging you since Fees Must Fall (or even earlier). Laurian Nortje from Hectic Nine-9 will be facilitating.
