Featuring 20 artists, Riot showcases art inspired by original military helmets used in various riots and uprisings in South Africa throughout the 1970’s and 80’s.
Attendees will join group masterclasses led by some of the artists with work featured in the exhibition including Tenjiwe Nkosi, Pamela Phatsimo, Sindiso Nyone, Lazi Mathebula, Mbuso Ndlovu, Ryan Liedemann, Shaun Hill and Nolan Oswald Dennis. You will also hear from Kalshnikovv Gallery’s MJ Turpin and Matthew Dean, CUSS Group’s Jamal Nxedlana and Floating Reverie.
