“Has anyone heard Robin Thicke’s new rape song?”
Clearly blogger Lisa Huyne is not happy with Robin Thicke’s new Blurred Lines hit track, she goes on to say, “Basically, the majority of the song…has the R&B singer murmuring ‘I know you want it’ over and over into a girl’s ear. Call me a cynic, but that phrase does not exactly encompass the notion of consent in sexual activity … Seriously, this song is disgusting — though admittedly very catchy.”
“I don’t need to go into office for the power. I have houses all over the world, stupendous boats… beautiful airplanes, a beautiful wife, a beautiful family… I am making a sacrifice.”
Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is one of the most flamboyant political figures whose never been shy to voice out his views in a blunt and colourful way, above is one of the many quotes about himself.
“Be a threat to your government and they will have no option but to act….”
Sir Bob Geldof suggests that the youth should challenge their local authorities on their lack of action. It’s a rather radical and outlandish piece of advice to give to young people, considering that the likes of our very Juju have once threatened to take up arms in forcing the Government to act on requests made by the countries political youth leagues but I do agree with the urgency in which he posed the statement.
