Twenty-six-year-old Paralympic athlete star Oscar Pistorius has allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend on Thursday morning, apparently thinking she was an intruder at his Pretoria home, Beeld reported.

Police Captain Sarah Mcira confirmed that the woman had been shot in the head and arm. She died at the scene.

Pistorius is reported to be in police custody, and is expected to appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s court on Thursday.
