We’re here for Normani giving us the old school music videos we grew up watching. Remember Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule’s “I’m Real” video? In case you forgot, here’s an excuse to rewatch it.

It feels like yesterday when she gave us “Waves” with 6LACK. Today, the former Fifth Harmony member is here to show us what she is made of, creating a national anthem for all the black girls around the world to give them some “Motivation”. From Beyonce to Ashanti, Britney to J. Lo we’re here for all the nostalgia she’s serving.

The video starts with little Normani watching her grown self on TV, which is something that every kid can relate to. Followed by four minutes of choreography that includes hip-hop, ballet and a sequence in the rain, it’s childhood wrapped into one video. Ariana Grande is one of the people who co-wrote the song, rooting for her on social media just like everyone else.
