Northern Suburbs – Okay, so today I look on the bright side. What’s cool about living in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town? Let me think about this.

Generally, there’s not a lot happening in my community, Eersteriver, the same can be said for the rest of the Northern Suburbs – our malls aren’t that entertaining, there aren’t much places to go and well…

In any case, while having to take an alternative route home because of a burning train at Woodstock station the other day I started wondering about the people who reside in areas on the path of the Monte Vista line.

Trains aren’t as frequent on this side of town and therefore I questioned how complicated it must be for residents to move around via public transport.

Our trains (in Eersteriver/Northern Suburbs) might not always be on time and during peek times, they’re darn full, but they’re there! So, even though I had to dig really hard, there’s something, however small, that I can appreciate about my home time – and for once, Metrorail – does not equal METROFAIL.
