The Mercedes-Benz Cape Town Fashion Week took place in the design capital of Cape Town and we are showcasing some of the best designs. We feature three of the designers such as Dax Martin, Goat Clothing and Rual Rheeder.
This year’s collection sizzles the way only an African sun can. Bright, bold, delicious and juicy; Dax Martin creates a range of swimwear you want to eat more than wear. Incorporating African prints and tropical flowers in new looks, the collection takes back Africa, inspired by Dax Martin’s mother and mother earth themselves, the collection plays tribute to the females of this continent and translates into wearable swimwear for men to adorn in pride in our country’s high-end ocean fronts.
It was such a fun collection for me. If I didn’t know any better I’d say Rual managed to crack the nautical theme effortlessly. Something Fabiani I hope took notes of. When you’re going to pick a theme and tell us about it, make sure you run with it and it translate. Ruald Rheeder presented us with a sailor with an edge. This kid is a skipper by day and a charmer by night. Cladded in loafers, boat shoes, chinos, nautical drop neck vests, navy jackets and stripes, he goes about town cool calm collected.
GOAT presented a an entirely retail-able collection with pieces that are courageous and those that are conservative with plenty of style.
