Losing my front teeth cost me friendships. I lost a bit of who I am. Dealing with people’s assumptions and prejudices hurts. Some assume I removed my teeth as some kind of fashion or style. When I laugh I cover my mouth, but now I’ve also come to laugh off what people say. I’ve found that my teeth make me more interesting and unique. I’ve also become stronger inside. Now I accept and realise that not everyone is the same.
