Musician – Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye and co-accused Themba Tshabalala, faced their sentencing at the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 28 November 2012. With the guilt of being convicted on four counts of murder and two of attempted murder, the dua pleaded for lenience. Jub Jub further commented that he planed to open a trust fund for the victims’families and that he realises it won’t bring them back.

Witnesses called to the stand said that Jub Jub is not a threat to the community and that he should serve community service instead. As members of the youth, Do you think that Jub Jub should not go to over-crowed jails and serve his community instead? Is that justice?
