Angus T. Jones also known as Jake from ‘Two and a Half Men’ had to apologise for referring the show on which he starts in as “filth” and for continuously telling the viewers to not watch it.
During the middle of an interview, Jones said, “Jake in ‘Two and a Half Men’, he is nothing and he is a non-existence character. He err… ‘Two and a Half Men’… if you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching ‘Two and a Half Men’. I am on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and I don’t want to be on it”. As he was begging and urging people to not watch it.
A day after making these controversial comments, the young ‘Two and a Half Men’ star issued a statement last night, being sure to show appreciation for those around him on set.
“Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on ‘Two and a Half Men’ whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family,” Jones said, adding:
“Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date.”
Jones went on to thank the cast and crew for their “support, guidance and love over the years.”
With no co-star or crew member having spoken out since Jones’ initial rant, he concluded:
“I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”
