Digital Marketing Assistant (paid) / Johannesburg
Are you passionate about digital marketing and pr? We are looking for someone to support our marketing and pr for Live SA, Livity Africa and our partner campaigns.
Assist with the implementation of digital marketing and public relations strategies to raise the profile and reach of Live SA and Livity Africa.
Assist with the management of Live SA, Livity Africa and clients’ social media communities
Assist with the implementation of client marketing and PR campaigns.
Assist with the monthly digital marketing, social media and media reporting.
Participate in creative client and team brainstorming sessions.
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
A degree in marketing or some experience in digital marketing and public relations including writing press releases, managing a website or blog, creating email campaigns etc.
Knowledge of, and experience with, managing social media for an organisation, client or event
Knowledge of digital marketing and social media trends
Evidence of own active social media profile
Energy and the capacity to come up with new engaging ideas
Ability to work independently as well as part of teams
Design Interns (expenses only) / Johannesburg
All positions are expenses-only internships, for work experience only. Transport is provided for full-time interns, and all content-related expenses are covered. Internships run on a three-month cycle, and require a 4 day/week commitment in Johannesburg.
Interns will design elements for our online platforms, including our website livemag.co.za, YouTube channel and social media networks. They will also be involved with various branding briefs. Prospective candidates need to have experience in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. They should have an interest in layout, and an understanding of typography. Experience in illustration and web design is an asset, but not mandatory.
All interns are offered career counselling, CV and portfolio editing, opportunities to network with and learn from relevant media industry professionals. Participants gain on-the-job experience in a real working environment, creating industry-standard content for a national audience of their peers. All activities take place under the guidance of a team of media mentors, all of whom are working professionals in their respective fields.
Our family of Live SA digital platforms – website, YouTube channel, Google +, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram has helped us reach almost 10 MILLION young people in 2014 so far. Some of our former contributors have gone on to work for eTV, British Council, 140 BBDO, SABC2, Highbury Safika Media, and Zalebs, among others.
