Nelson Mandela would have been proud of the class of 2015. They faced police stun grenades and arrests of student leaders, and yet this did not stop them from demanding that #FeesMustFall. It’s been a historic week, which has warmed the hearts of the nation, the young and old alike, and garnered international support. The #FeesMustFall protests, which started in Wits on Monday, soon spread across the country, culminating in today’s march to the Union Buildings. The hashtag that went from #FeesMustFall to #NationalShutDown has eventually reached the ears of President Jacob Zuma, who has just announced that there will be 0% fee increase in universities next year.

Above is a gallery of moving pictures taken from Wits, UCT, UWC, CPUT, UP, Tuks, Rhodes and Stellenbosch.
