#Kesummerboss: Parents are away, you have the house all to yourself, (Yay!). And now you want to plan a house party, but you don’t have a clue where to begin. Questions like these start to linger in your mind: who drinks what, who is going to buy the booze and where is the cheapest place to buy stuff, and oh, what about the meat? How much will all of this cost? You feel like the world is crushing down on your shoulders, calm down and just breathe. Here are tips that would help you, plan the party without too much of a migraine.
Planning before the party starts helps a lot. You need to ask yourself these questions:
What kind of sit-in party do I want to host? Is it a simple chill session with music playing in the background with friends?
How many people or friends are coming over? Sit-ins usually have less than 15 people. The reason is to maintain order and still maintain the intimacy.
How much are they contributing for booze/drinks and meat? The price depends on what people are drinking and how much the booze cost (it helps to find cheap liquor stores or make punch-it’s easy to do. It costs less, plus it gets the job done.)
Where are you going to buy the meat and booze/drinks? And who is going to be buy these products and when? Knowing a butcher really helps, you could get a discount, but asking around helps too.
Music: what kind of music, are you going to play? Or if you have money or a friend with skills, get a DJ. Don’t forget to alert the neighbours that you are going to have a party, just in case the music gets too loud and they decide to call the cops. Remember to respect your neighbours.
Clean your house: Make your house is clean and neat before people come in and mess it up. And cover the furniture that gets dirty easily like velvet couches etc.
Have three empty buckets handy, just in case when some guests-who love mixing different kinds of booze, in their systems, throw-up.
Safety: Make sure you allow one room to be used for people to sleep in when passing out. Lock all the other rooms and hide the key in a safe place, so the party guests won’t steal your stuff, because things really do go missing, if you are careless.
At the party
Start playing the house music, so people could feel the vibe of the party.
Get two people to serve the food: One person will dish the food and the other will serve it to the guests.
Ask someone, to give out the alcohol. Or use a bucket ice system: You put a drinks in a bucket full of ice, so the guys could start drinking (making a punch, proves to be useful at this time because it does a job of getting the guests drunk, very fast.)
In the morning guests, will wake-up with massive hangovers. And some will still be drinking (zinkonkxa ezo). Wait for most of them, to be fully awake and start the cleaning process.
It’s Summer and people with hangover usually love sitting in a shade. Take all the dirty dishes to the shade and give to them to wash and dry. Get others to clean inside the house. Whatever, you do make sure your house is neat before everyone leaves.
After the guests leave, take a bath and go to sleep (rest please). You’ll deal with the irritating neighbours, on the flip-side. Whatever, happens make sure you have much-needed F.U.N!!
