A well known businessman was murdered in his home while his wife and daughter were out buying ice cream in Middelburg, Johannesburg.

Tiziana (known as TC) Ciciliato was stabbed with a sharp object in the chest and possibly strangled sometime between 20:15 and 22:00 at his home reported Beeld.  His wife suspected something was wrong when she found the gate standing open, she then called her son Jaco Botman 29, who met her at a nearby garage and drove home with her. The police were called and arrived home with the family.

“We saw the little window at the front door was broken and decided to rather wait outside and the police went in.” said Botman. He said a mans body was lying on the floor of the TV room, when described they then knew it was his stepfather . Ciciliato who owned several businesses in Middelburg, presumably fell asleep in his chair and was overpowered and killed on the spot. House keys, TV sets, DVD players, electronic equipment and jewelry was missing from the house.
