
A while ago I wrote a short Live Mag SA Cool Hunters feature on webisodes to watch. Out of the five I listed, two made me extremely giddy but StereoTypes- Are you a Hipster, featured on the Pharell Williams -produced I am Other show got me and a few others laughing! A presenter basically goes around asking random people if they think they’re hispters. Anyway it got me thinking about the “hipster movement” so without trying to be too serious I decided to put together a list of top 5 activities, events and stores for Jozi Hipsters. If you’re still confused about who these guys are , use this list as a hipster tracker.
In no particular order here they are :

Saturdays between 9am and 3pm in Braamfontein. Listed as the place “Where the hipsters go” on Tripadviser.

A coffee/art shop. They’re open seven days a week .
Maropeng Exhibition and the Sterkfontein Caves

Maropeng is the official visitor centre for the Cradle of Humankind, and is located 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.
