Beyoncé’s surprise new release is the fastest-selling album on iTunes ever: more than 800,000 copies in 3 days!

“I see music. It’s more than just what I hear.” Beyonce revealed. “When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.” The statement continues & said “That the album is available on the day the world is learning about its release is an unprecedented strategic move by the artist to deliver music and visual content directly to her fans when she wants to and how she wants to, with no filter.” Beyonce concluded and said “I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it, I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

This the official statement Mrs. Carter released after she dropped her self-titled 5th album which caused iTunes to temporarily crash as fans flocked to download it. The RnB superstar followed in the footsteps of her husband by disregarding the conventional method of album distribution. Just like Jay Z’s album “Magna Carta… Holy Grail” Beyonce’s album dropped without any promotion, she didn’t even give an indication to her fans that she was working on a new album and the result was a Twitter frenzy that went on throughout the early hours of Friday morning.

The 14-track compilation has been dubbed a “Visual Album” with an array of features ranging from her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to her husband Jay Z even her 2 year old daughter Blue Ivy is credited with a feature. One of Beyonce’s best attributes is her tenacity and the dedication she has to her craft this is evident in the 17 music videos (Yes SEVENTEEN) she has released to accompany the album.

You can hate on Mrs. Carter but you can’t hate on her hustle.
