Freshly Ground Vocalist Zolani Mahola is expecting her first child. The 31-year-old singer broke the news recently and she is thrilled. Saying that this was a mutual decision between her and her partner. Zolani is preparing for a five-city tour in the US with her band, but says she will be slowing things down considerably starting in May as her baby is due in August.

Mahola gained much popularity on twitter last year after millions of South Africans watched her perform on Idols 2012. She was obviously much more petite in frame. The weight loss was due to physical and mental fatigue, but Zolani is adamant not to make her changing physical appearance the focus. Speaking on her pregnancy, she quipped with Times Live “I have a licence to eat.”
