Dj Lag
Also known as the Gqom King, Dj Lag made it big with his hit song Ice Drop which was released earlier this year. Since then, he has been to Europe, London and New York sharing the Gqom experience with the world.
His recent project is Trip to New York is an E.P which can be found on Soundcloud.
Distruction Boyz
If you have been in a taxi or at a shisanyama lately, you probably know Madness, the hit track from Distruction Boyz that is filling up every dance floor. The Durban duo have become one of the most popular Gqom acts. The fan-generated videos that feature their songs have received over 1 million videos on YouTube. They have also collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry including Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha
In just a few more days, on 20 October, they will be releasing their much-anticipated debut album Gqom Is The Future, which is available for pre-order on iTunes
Tipcee
Signed under Tira’s record label Afrotainment, Tipcee is a female, Durban-based Gqom producer and dj. She is featured on Tira’s uMalume and also played an important part producing Madness along with Distruction Boyz.
Her latest single Iscathulo with Busiswa and Distruction Boyz is available on the Afrotainment Summer 2017 album.
DJ Sandiso
Self-proclaimed Gqom Lord, Dj Sandiso is well known for his hit song Hawe Ma with Boyz n’ Buckz crew members Stilo Magolide and Okmalumkoolkat.
He recently dropped another banger titled Isam Qhe, which was produced by Da Fresh.
